SOD INSTALLATION

Sod Installation in Metairie

Re-turfing is a process where old sod and turf are removed along with the roots to leave an area for new grass to be planted. If there is existing turf, it is removed by the use of a sod cutter which removes the grass and its roots. The grass is then picked up and disposed of. New sand is often laid and then leveled. This ensures that the new sod will lay flat and have an adequate chance to take root. This process does not take long but is labor intensive and is not recommended for a homeowner to tackle alone. There are many reason sod installation may be needed
